Figures computed from the anonymized reference agreements in the SAP BTP (CPEA credits) dataset behind our in-app benchmarking tools. Aggregates only; cohorts too thin to publish are left out rather than estimated. Deal size bands reflect the annual committed spend, not the total contract value.
SAP BTP credits deals in our reference book close at a median of 17% off list, with the middle half of deals landing between 12% and 26%. Deal size is the strongest single driver: commits under $500,000 in annual committed spend land a median of 12% off, while commits above $10 million reach 35%.
The rate is only one of three axes: renewals show roughly 18% unused credit on average, so negotiate rollover of unused credits and overage priced at the contracted rate in the same event. Size the commit to forecast consumption plus a 10 to 15% buffer rather than chasing the next published discount tier.
